Bondi v. Citigroup
Mike and Kara worked on behalf of Citigroup.
New Jersey Superior Court
After Parmalat’s collapse, Citigroup was accused of being part of a fraudulent scheme to artificially inflate Parmalat’s value and cash flow. Citigroup needed both to defend its actions and to show that Parmalat, not Citigroup, engaged in fraud. The jury returned a defense verdict defeating claims worth more than $12 billion and awarding $364 million on Citigroup’s counterclaim.
