Janssen v. Eon Labs

Mike and Kara worked on behalf of Eon Labs.

United States District Court, Eastern District of New York

Eon Labs was accused of infringing Janssen’s patent for a drug that used “beads” comprised of sugar sphere cores of a specified size coated with an antifungal and a polymer layer. In order to show non-infringement, we needed to explain how sugar spheres are sized using mesh grades and show that Eon Lab’s generic medication used a different mesh grade than what was specified in Janssen’s patent. The district court judge found that Eon Labs did not infringe the Janssen patent.
